PM David Cameron vows to up pressure on Russia's Putin
Prime Minister David Cameron has said the EU and US should use their economic power to put pressure on Moscow with regard to events in eastern Ukraine.
"We need to keep turning up the pressure until Russia decides to behave like any civilised country", he told members of the public at a question and answer event.
On Tuesday US President Barack Obama announced new economic sanctions against Russia. The EU earlier expanded its sanctions, targeting the oil sector, defence equipment and sensitive technologies.
President Putin has been under increasing pressure from Western nations amid allegations that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down in eastern Ukraine by Russian-armed rebels.
The Kremlin has also faced fierce criticism over its annexation of Crimea earlier in the year.
