Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy in misconduct probe

The chief constable of Greater Manchester Police, Sir Peter Fahy, is facing a criminal investigation over his role in the handling of inquiries into a suspected sex offender.

The allegations were made by a whistleblower and investigated by the police watchdog.
