Tilbury Docks: 'Homicide' probe after stowaway death

The death of a man who arrived in Britain in a shipping container is being treated as "homicide", police have said.

He was one of 35 stowaways who were discovered at Tilbury Docks this morning aboard the P&O vessel from Zeebrugge, Belgium.

The survivors were treated at nearby hospitals for dehydration and exhaustion.

Superintendent Trevor Roe from Essex Police said he believed the people were originally from the "Indian subcontinent".
