Rail fares to rise by 3.5% in England in 2015

Many rail fares in England - including season tickets - will increase by an average of 3.5% next year.

Under the formula, average fares in England are due to go up by July's RPI measure of inflation, plus 1%.

It means that fares will have gone up by almost a quarter since 2010.

Richard Westcott reports.
