Neknominate fish drink man admits animal cruelty

A 33-year-old man from Herefordshire has walked free from court after being charged with animal cruelty for drinking a 'live fish' cocktail as part of the Neknominate drinking game.

Paul Wooding from Ross-on-Wye poured the fish into a homemade cocktail before drinking it. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £500.

The animal charity, the RSPCA, has defended the decision to prosecute him.

Cath Mackie reports.
