Stop and search: Police code of conduct launched
All 43 police forces in England and Wales have signed up to a new voluntary code of conduct for how they use their stop and search powers.
The scheme was first suggested in April by the home secretary Theresa May who said the technique was being misused so frequently that it was damaging relations between the public and police.
