Stalking prosecutions at record high after new law
A record number of people were prosecuted in England and Wales last year for harassment and stalking.
The figures, from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), are the first since new legislation was introduced making stalking a specific offence.
The data comes as the CPS and Association of Chief Police Officers launch new guidance to improve the way stalking cases are handled.
