A man has been charged with the murder of a woman found stabbed to death in the New Forest.

Penelope Davis, 47, known as Pennie, was discovered in a field at Leygreen Farm, Beaulieu, on 2 September where she was tending to her horses.

Hampshire Police said Justin Robertson, 36, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder following a joint decision with the Crown Prosecution Service.

The BBC's Daniel Boettcher says Mr Robertson is due to appear before Southampton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
