Paper car tax discs to be phased out

From 1 October 2014 drivers will no longer need to display a tax disc in their windscreen as the paper system is phased out.

The disc was introduced in 1921 but officials say it is no longer needed as the police and DVLA will rely on an electronic register.

But some say the changes haven't been fully explained.

Tim Muffett reports.
