Loughborough pilot scheme to breathalyse pub-goers
It is not unusual for motorists to be breathalysed by the police but in Loughborough partygoers are being asked to take the same test and if they fail they will not be allowed in to pubs and clubs.
It is part of a pilot scheme to try to cut down on alcohol fuelled violence.
The idea has met with a mixed reaction from people in Loughborough but PC Mike Green from Leicestershire Police says it is simply giving door staff the extra information they need to help them do their job.
