The papers: Tuesday's front pages

Broadcaster Jennie Bond and Times columnist Matthew Syed joined the BBC News Channel to review Tuesday's newspapers.

They began by discussing the Times's front page, which previews Labour leader Ed Miliband's speech to the party conference and an expected pledge to tax high-value property to pay for NHS funding.

The pair then moved on to the Daily Telegraph's story suggesting that "English home rule" will be at the heart of the Conservative Party's campaign for the next election.

They also discussed the Guardian's coverage of the suspension of four Tesco executives after the firm overstated its half-year profit guidance.
