Alan Henning murder: Community unites at Eccles church

Prayers have been said at a church service at Eccles in Salford for Alan Henning, who was murdered by Islamic State militants.

Mr Henning, whose family said they were "numb with grief", was delivering aid when he was kidnapped in Syria in 2013.

The BBC's Richard Thomas has been speaking to people who gathered at Eccles Parish Church on Sunday morning.

There will be a service of reflection at 18:30 BST.
