Clegg's mental health targets 'need to be instant'

Nick Clegg has announced waiting time targets for mental health patients living in England.

The Liberal Democrats leader used the closing day of his party's conference to deliver a speech, outlining plans to provide medical help for young people with psychosis within 14 days.

From April next year there will be a six week wait for talking therapies with an 18 week maximum wait for treatment, he said.

Sian Lloyd met one mental health worker who warned shortening lists was not enough, as patients need care "instantly".
