Ebola crisis: 'Money not enough,' says David Miliband

"Money alone" is not enough to combat the spread of the Ebola virus in West Africa, David Miliband has said.

The International Rescue Committee president told the Today programme that "proper systems" are needed to ensure local communities understand the reasons behind the outbreak, take the necessary precautions and address local traditions that could help the virus spread.

But he nevertheless praised the British government for "leading the charge" against the outbreak through funding and the deployment of military personnel to the region.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday 8 October.
