Benedict Cumberbatch on red carpet at London Film Festival
Hundreds of people have braved the rain to see Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley arrive for the opening of the London Film Festival in Leicester Square.
In The Imitation Game, Cumberbatch plays the gay World War Two codebreaker, Alan Turing, who cracked Germany's Enigma code.
His homosexuality led to a conviction for gross indecency, after which he killed himself.
On the red carpet, Cumberbatch said he hoped the early Oscar buzz for the film would mean more people would get to learn about Turing.
