UK government defends Ebola screening decision

Travellers arriving in the UK from areas affected by Ebola are to face "enhanced screening" at Heathrow, Gatwick and the Eurostar terminal in London.

The Government had said there were no plans to screen people arriving from Liberia, Guinea or Sierra Leone, but changed its mind after getting fresh advice from its own health experts.

But some doctors say screening at the point of arrival is a waste of time.
