Alan Henning: Brothers read tributes in Eccles

Reg and Paul Henning, brothers of the murdered British hostage Alan Henning, have visited a cross in the middle of Eccles where floral tributes have been laid.

The 47-year-old was beheaded by Islamic State (IS) militants after he was captured in December while delivering food and supplies to Syrian refugees.

Speaking to the BBC's Catrin Nye, the brothers said that Alan "would be over the moon" to see the tributes.

Those in the UK can see Catrin Nye's film about Alan Henning on BBC Inside Out North West on Monday night at 19:30 on BBC One
