Clegg: Lord Freud's disability remarks are "offensive"
The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, has described Lord Freud's comments about disabled people as "deeply distressing" and "offensive". The Welfare Reform Minister suggested that disabled people might not be worth the minimum wage.
Speaking on his "Call Clegg" show on LBC radio, the Liberal Democrat leader said Lord Freud had "touched a raw nerve".
