Baby P social worker Maria Ward on being 'vilified' by media
The social worker in the case of Baby P, whose death in 2007 sparked a huge public outcry about how the authorities protect vulnerable children, has spoken about the case for the first time.
Maria Ward, who was subsequently dismissed from her job, has told the BBC she had been vilified by the media.
Ms Ward said that she had feared for her safety after the death of 17 month old Peter Connelly.
