Ann Maguire killer sentenced: Family make statements

A 16-year-old boy has been jailed for life after he admitted murdering Leeds teacher Ann Maguire.

Spanish teacher Mrs Maguire, 61, was attacked at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds in April.

Following the sentencing at Leeds Crown Court, Ann Maguire's husband and daughters looked on as a statement was read on their behalf by family friend Maurice O'Connell.

Shelagh Connor and Denise Courtney also paid tribute to their sister.
