New UK Great Western Main line trains unveiled in Japan
The high-speed train which will be used on the Great Western Main Line through the Thames Valley has been unveiled in Japan.
Kentaro Masai from Hitachi Rail said the company was trying to expand, 900 carriages have been ordered.
The trains will replace a fleet of InterCity trains from the 1970s on the Great Western Main line through Oxfordshire and Berkshire, and also on the East Coast Main Line.
The first passengers will get on board in 2017.
