The papers: Friday's front pages

Broadcaster Petrie Hosken and comedian Natalie Haynes joined the BBC News Channel to review Friday's front pages.

They began by discussing the Daily Mail's front page, which features ex-PM Sir John Major's speech in Berlin, where he called for the UK to be given more control over EU immigration.

The pair then moved on to the Times's lead report about the Ministry of Defence raising the maximum age for military reservists to 50 in a bid to help increase the number of recruits.

They also examined reports in the Guardian and Daily Mirror that Olympic heptathlon champion Jess Ennis-Hill wants her name removed from a stand at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane stadium if the club re-signs striker Ched Evans - who has been released from prison after serving time for rape.
