The papers: Tuesday's top stories

Beth Rigby, of the Financial Times, and John Kampfner, of the Creative Industries Federation joined the BBC News Channel to discuss Tuesday's news.

They talked about the various leaked stories about the forthcoming Autumn Statement, including the Telegraph's lead on a "new town" at Bicester in Oxfordshire.

They also examined how the press treated the legacy of Gordon Brown, after his announcement that he was leaving Westminster politics.

And a dire day for the Rouble on the currency markets was discussed.
