Judge dismisses Lee Rigby killers' appeal
A High Court judge has dismissed appeals made by the killers of Fusilier Lee Rigby as "hopeless".
Lord Chief Justice Lord Thomas threw out Michael Adebolajo's request to appeal against his conviction for the 2013 murder. His lawyers had argued the conviction was illegal as the murder had been "an act of war".
The Appeal Court also threw out Adebolajo's and fellow murderer Michael Adebowale's appeal against the length of their sentences.
