Storm surge a year on: Can flood defence projects help?

A year ago, huge waves devastated stretches of the east coast, destroying more than 1,000 homes - the most serious storm surge to hit Britain in 60 years.

Since then the treasury has announced a £2.3bn investment to protect areas including the Thames and Humber Estuaries from flooding.

But will the flood defence programme be enough?

Jo Black reports from the Norfolk village of Hemsby which lost seven houses and its lifeboat station.
