New watchdog launched to resolve disputes between retailers and consumers

A new watchdog is being set up to deal with disputes between retailers and their customers.

The Retail Ombudsman will have the power to investigate complaints about products from high street and independent shops, as well as online websites and aims to provide an alternative to costly legal action.
