John Freeman dies: Martin Luther King 1961 interview

The diplomat and journalist John Freeman has died at the age of 99.

Mr Freeman was perhaps best known for his direct interviews for BBC television series Face to Face.

In October 1961 he spoke with Martin Luther King about the civil rights movement and asked him about an assassination attempt that left him fighting for his life.
