Murder rate in London falls to lowest point since 1960s

The number of people being murdered in London is expected to fall below 100 for the year 2014.

It will be the first time it has fallen this low since the 1960s.

It mirrors a steep decline in the murder rate across the UK, Western Europe and the US.

Daniel Sandford reports.
