May: 'Terrorists attacking freedom and democracy'

Theresa May has said that the men who killed 12 people at the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo were "attacking freedom and democracy".

The home secretary described the attack as a "cowardly" act.

She also said that it demonstrated the "very serious threat" terrorism poses.
