Joanne Mjadzelics: 'I thought I was doing right thing'

An ex-lover of paedophile singer Ian Watkins said she thought "she was doing the right thing" by trying to expose the former Lostprophets star's criminality.

Joanne Mjadzelics, 39, from Doncaster, was cleared of child sex abuse image offences, after denying seven charges at Cardiff Crown Court.

She claimed she had encouraged the singer - serving 35 years for child sex offences - to send the images in order to prove his guilt.

Speaking to BBC 5live, Ms Mjadzelic accused the police of failing to act and said she had been "naive" to think they would investigate Watkins.
