Oxfordshire fires not thought to be 'terrorist activity'

Superintendent Andy Boyd of Thames Valley Police has said that three fires in the Oxfordshire area are being investigated as "criminal acts" but are not thought to be linked to any "form of terrorist activity".

His comments came after firefighters fought a huge fire that engulfed a set of council offices in Oxfordshire during a spate of suspected arson attacks that badly damaged two other buildings.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested.
