Changes proposed for victims giving evidence in court

Changes made to the way victims and witnesses are prepared for giving evidence in court have been proposed by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Many victims have said they find the experience traumatic and the Director of Public Prosecution wants guidance to be introduced which would allow witnesses to be given more information about the defence case before a trial begins.
