Tribunal rules GCHQ intelligence sharing 'was unlawful'

The Investigatory Powers Tribunal has ruled against an intelligence agency for the first time in its 15 year history.

It has ruled that GCHQ surveillance and information-sharing with the United States before December was unlawful.

The case is one of a number of challenges brought by privacy groups, including the campaigners Liberty, and Privacy International.
