PC overwhelmed by send-off after 47 years in the job

A man hailed as the country's longest-serving police officer is retiring after 47 years.

PC Robert Brown, who is known as Bob, joined the Met as an 18-year-old in 1968.

He finished his career in Croydon Borough with colleagues forming a guard of honour for his final shift.

He said he was "overwhelmed" by his send-off.
