The Papers: Friday's front pages

The Independent's Whitehall Editor Oliver Wright and Caroline Wheeler, political editor for the Sunday Express, joined the BBC News Channel to look at Friday's newspapers.

They began by discussing the front page story in the Times which suggests there is a growing Tory rebellion over plans by the Treasury to freeze defence spending after the election.

The other talking points included the Daily Mail's lead that a change to the law giving motorists in England a 10-minute period of grace before a parking ticket is issued will be brought in before May, and the continuing coverage of the row over the televised election debates.
