The Queen attends Afghanistan memorial service at St Paul's
The Queen has been joined at St Paul's Cathedral by veterans of the Afghanistan war for a service to mark the end of Britain's 13-year involvement.
A simultaneous service was held in Afghanistan for the troops still there.
The country's President, Ashraf Ghani, paid tribute to the 453 British soldiers who died, saying they had "paid the ultimate sacrifice" to enable Afghans to live in freedom.
Nicholas Witchell reports.
