Generation 2015 profiles: Marcel Nathaniel
I'm 20, and I'm from Erdington, Birmingham. I am happy to be part of BBC Generation 2015 as I believe I can voice the opinions and views of many 18- to 25-year olds today. I aim to become more involved this year with volunteering opportunities, and to play a more active role in my local community.
I have only recently started to try to understand politics. I do believe that young people should take up the privilege to vote, and make an educated decision about who we want to lead our country.
I worked as a poll clerk for the last Election, and I noticed how few young people came through the doors to have their say. We must ask the question, why?
