Supporter hopes Wikileaks founder Assange will be freed

A UN panel has ruled in favour of Wikileaks' founder Julian Assange after he complained he was "arbitrarily detained", the BBC understands.

His friend, Vaughan Smith, told the BBC he was pleased with the ruling and hoped authorities would act "accordingly".
