French minister: UK 'weaker outside EU'

A French government minister has said that Britain would have a much weaker hand when negotiating trade deals, if it votes to leave the EU in June.

Emmanuel Macron also said the UK would find it far harder to defend its steel industry against China, but the claims have been dismissed by supporters of a leave vote.
