After-school clubs 'boost grades'

A new study suggests that primary school children who go to after school clubs or take part in sports lessons get better grades than their peers.

Research carried out by the Institute of Education compared the academic performance of more than 6,000 children, taking into account their involvement in extra curricular activities.
