South Yorkshire police chief suspended over Hillsborough

The Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, David Crompton, has been suspended over his force's behaviour during the Hillsborough inquests.

It follows a day of mounting anger over what the inquests revealed about the role of the police throughout the 27 years since the Hillsborough disaster.
