Wolf Hall director: Whittingdale should 'consider his position'

The director of Bafta award-winning drama Wolf Hall has suggested that the Culture Secretary John Whittingdale should consider his position.

Earlier Peter Kosminsky had used his acceptance speech to hit out at government proposals for changes to the BBC and Channel 4.

When asked for a response, the Department of Culture Media and Sport said Mr Whittingdale would not be commenting on anything ahead of the White Paper later this month.
