1994: Thomas Bourke convicted of MOT murders
In December 1994 Thomas Bourke was found guilty of murdering two MOT inspectors who were on a routine inspection of a garage in Stockport.
Bourke, who has spent twenty two years in jail, has always insisted he is innocent of the crime.
His lawyers are currently trying to convince the Criminal Cases Review Commission to overturn his conviction.
Former BBC reporter Kevin Bocquet sent this report from Manchester Crown Court on the day the jury returned its verdict.
