Somme centenary: The 12 year old soldier

The brutality of the Battle of the Somme did not discriminate.

Many of those killed were young men and teenagers, some even younger than that.

Twelve year old Sidney Lewis ran away from home to join the army.

He was soon sent to fight on the frontline, his story is told through his son.
