Will doctors be disciplined for strike action?

The General Medical Council (GMC) has warned junior doctors that they could face disciplinary action in certain cases if they insist on going on strike.

Professor Terence Stephenson, who chairs the GMC, told the Today programme that doctors were personally accountable for their actions and if patient harm ensued as a result they could face disciplinary action.
