Scouts: 'You feel like you're giving back to the community'

More young people than ever before are wanting to become scouts. The waiting list now stands at 51,000.

The movement has more volunteer helpers than ever but, according to Bear Grylls, the chief scout, he needs even more to cope with rising demand.

Why the sudden resurgence in popularity?

Katie Ainscough is a Scout with the 23rd Bromley Scout Group. She tells Today the scouts are still important and there's a lot to be gained from volunteering.
