Student horrified by MP 'gay comments'

An MP has stood down after reportedly telling students that homosexuality was "wrong" and "a danger to society".

Andrew Turner, the Conservative MP for the Isle of Wight, apparently made the comments in response to a question from Esther Poucher, 16, at her college in Newport.

She told the Today programme's Mishal Husain she was "horrified" by his response.
