Southampton Hollister employee 'told to take off poppy'
A shop assistant from Southampton says she was told to remove her poppy as it "was not part of the uniform".
Harriet Phipps, 18, who works at Hollister clothes shop in the West Quay centre, said the store's assistant manager had told her to do it.
Miss Phipps initially refused to take it off, but was made to feel so "uncomfortable" she eventually did.
Hollister, which is owned by American clothing giant Abercrombie and Fitch, said it was looking into the matter.
Miss Phipps said she wore her poppy in honour of a friend currently serving in Afghanistan.
