Asil Nadir's escape pilot Peter Dimond speaks out

The pilot who flew Asil Nadir out of the UK as he faced fraud charges has spoken out after the businessman's conviction.

Peter Dimond, from Petersfield in Hampshire, hastily arranged a flight from Compton Abbas airfield in Dorset in 1993.

They landed in France and then went on to Cyprus where Nadir remained until his return to face trial in 2010.

Mr Dimond was arrested on his return to the UK in 1998 for his part in Nadir's escape, but his conviction was quashed after he had spent a year in prison.
