Ashdown Forest: Fire spreads in 'Winnie the Pooh' woods

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze covering 49 acres (20 hectares) of Ashdown Forest in Sussex.

Sixteen fire engines from East and West Sussex and Sussex Police were called after the fire started at about 14:00 BST.

East Sussex Fire Service said the blaze, in the Wych Cross and Millbrook Hill area, had been brought under control.

Ashdown Forest was the setting for AA Milne's Winnie the Pooh books.
